People will always think some bullshit. Just let them. Who gives a fuck what they think?
If it’s best for you and your family, do it!
when it's your boss and your family and other people who have influence over your life, you tend to give a a lot of fucks about what they think.
not everyone is an atomized detached person, or has a job that isn't influenced by their personal choices.
a lot of people think a man who isn't working, and making bank while doing so, is a worthless piece of shit human being. any role where a man isn't doing both those things makes him worthless. including so called progressive anti-gender folks, also think this way.
