I dunno... in 19th century Italy (when this painting was made (The Confession (Molteni))), a Catholic priest might have called this a "bodily perversion" in order to extract a fee for an Indulgence, especially if the priest believed it would be an habitual occurance.
if my art degree is worth anything, its for parsing the moral value of a meme (and booby Italian toast fetishes) in its historic context!

In the mid-19th century, a "toaster" which bore any resemblance to cleavage wouldn't be invented for at least 50 years.
I'm surprised the painting is so old, for some reason the woman's hairstyle looked fairly modern to me
Edit: nevermind I looked at a higher res image. I was confusing parts of her veil as hair bangs
