If this was a possible from ppd then those women should not be allowed to leave the hospital until they are no longer a risk.
Let's just institutionalize women until the kids are 18! Problem solved
If a mother is a persistent threat to the life of a child, you want the state to just send them home together?
PPD often isn't immediately after giving birth, such as the case we're talking about. It can take days, weeks, months to set in. And the state doesn't run the hospitals
The state defines the laws that govern us and the hospital, so it is the state's decision. If PPD can result in child murder, maybe we should withhold the child until it's clear there is no danger.
Wow. You're clearly not in healthcare, childcare, the legal system as a whole, or government work whatsoever. I'm not going to waste any more time on you.
But you support endangering infants.
In hindsight, she probably should have been institutionalised. Or at the very least, not left alone with her kids.
She did go to doctors, her husband, and other people telling them that she wasn’t okay and may need to be institutionalized for some time but doctors didn’t take her seriously.
That’s why this case is so wild.
Both Patrick and Lindsay have filed civil suits against the doctors and nurses who ignored her pleas. The fact that Dr Tufts gave her meds, she had a bad reaction to them, so she gave her more meds is fucking insane.
