It's because the few more dollars per day empowers people not to have to deal with exploitative practices, to be able to save an emergency fund, to be able to look elsewhere for opportunities.

They had literal segments on Fox where they were complaining that companies couldn't strong arm people anymore because COVID turned the balance in labor value. Uber is known to give desperation compensation much lower then drivers who are more selective. Data is used to min-max labor exploitation.

or the leaders of those companies

This is key. Zuc put tape over his laptop webcams, cause they know this invasion of privacy is endemic to everything nowadays.

I think he's saying, in this particular instance is that Trump's fault? It's B2B, and probably would have happened regardless of who's POTUS (see GPU shortages under Biden's term).

Don't get me wrong, Trump is totally interventionist as long as it personally benefits his family. But this far he's not made any plays wrt to supply/demand of hardware. From whats been officially released, the only interventionism he's done wrt AI companies is get then them to have backdoors and be used for military applications.

Umm actually, people keep saying he's a trillionaire, that's not technically true.

He wasn't even if SpaceX was at its peak valuation. It was unrealized, floating on an actual liquidity of like 100 billion.
