"refine" vs "create" is already a super grey area

Have you seen the first elevators? Or even used a chat bot prior to this? The definition of "AI" for a long time was just "decision trees" or some really neat classification systems. This is different. The hype and terrible business practices is the problem not the idea itself.
I also agree that calling it Artificial intelligence is a marking scheme, it's a loaded term machine learning is better. This has always kinda been a problem. Technically it's very loosely defined. I always refer to it as LLMs
This is exhausting y'all. God I fucking hate LLMs so much. This tech could be such a exciting break through, a step towards real artificial intelligence, but stuck in academia where it belongs. Instead of getting to be excited and interested this inanimate compilation of matrices is breathing down my neck constantly.
Even the small ones are resource hogs.
It's been abled to set alarms for me haven't tried reminders. I also use it to create events from me on my calendar.
It connects to my Google home now too, which it wasn't able to do before
Assistant tasks like this are probably the only semi reasonable LLM use case. If it was less resource intensive anyway
LLMs will not eclipse us.
However, I do believe highly intelligent AI is possible. It's just not LLMs.
I'm a huge fan of moths, I keep a photo album with a photo for every species's I've found. So far around 90, my favorite specimen is Basilodes pepita. I've only every seen two, extremely striking in person, photo can't do it justice
They should enter now
Holy fuck I made the list wow
I blame the Internet tbh. Vast amounts of information at your finger tips with no real curve to learn any of it, skipping official books and documents on the subject and the learnings of the past.
Quick answers no friction and no learning
Remember everyone, everyone is human. There is no person with all the right opinions and there never will be. Never idolize, you will be burned
I'm not concerned it will take my job I'm concerned some idiot will give it my job despite not being able to do it.
