Lol big city europe that age is 30.
I waited 8 year to get a newer phoner that was better than my previous phone in all respects at the same price. And even then it was mostly a convenience upgrade because my old phone was still working well.
Why the hell would it be worth it to lease a phone?
This whole software bug spiel is to convince everyone that it is unsafe to code without using an LLM. Effectively forcing companies to use LLMs.
It is also one of the first things you learn when experimenting with capacitors. You burn a few while building faulty circuits.

For linux by now it is just incredibly easy to automatically self-sign new boot shims. But why would I add that complexity for no gain at all?
Wasn't there this scandal with Gigabyte motherboards, where Secure Boot showed as enabled, but the motherboards still just booted any unsigned bootcode?!
All of these media are digital! Only digital is no medium but an encoding scheme.
Currently used media are HDD and SSD.
We would still have GOG, which is even one step up ethically.

My only experience with a car that had lane-keeping assist was that the car actively tried to kill me by steering me into oncoming traffic.
That car also thought I was sleeping when I wore sunglasses and again tried to kill me by scaring me with the loudest beep to 'wake me up' again.
If that is how well this tech works it is not adding any safety. Quite the opposite actually.
I also really started to wonder how bad the government ageny that tests these cars operates to certify this safety risk on wheels.
