Conway's Game of Life.

It's an early example of a "world" simulated by applying simple rules to a board with grids. Black cells die, idle, or reproduce based on these rules, and it results in interesting yet predictable behavior of some clusters. Some shapes/clusters were recognized as behaving in a particular way when the "game" starts.

Ineffectively is good enough. It's what I do.

Yes, pretty much: Section 2.10 of the manual says so.

We use it to discipline and sync chip scale atomic clocks, and power them without draining their batteries. We just happen to use ethernet cables for the connection. And each clock pulse distributor is rackmounted and has 48 rj45 ports.

At work we have this proprietary piece of hardware that has many rj45 connectors that delivers PoE and a clock pulse synced to GPS. More than once people have called me asking if this ethernet switch they found in my stash of spares is broken or something. More than once I've had to explain to them that what they're holding is PoE but without the E.

"This is a CD player, not a DVD player. You've been scammed"

I've done both. No need to grovel, but you can call me "your excellence"

What that other guy said.

Some asshat edgelord filmed himself walking around school, "excersicing his right to free speech", calling out that he supported ICE. I think he wore a sign too.

Then the absolute megachad in the picture shows up, and the exchange went something like this:

"I'm going to punch you now"
"You'll get in trouble"
"Ok" 👊

Swedish uses Ö + Ä. The rest of us use Ø + Æ. Both alphabets use Å, but that's a separate letter. Ü isn't used in scandinavian languages (Only language I know that uses it is German)
