This was supposed to be satire but I just saw 10 days ago they laid off or notified intended dismissal of 1,000 people.

There is a genocide going on in Gaza, there is ethnic cleaning going on in the USA and the NHS has handed off (to at least some small degree) who gets what medical treatment and when to AI.

Scheduling operating theatres needs Actual Intelligence, which is significantly cheaper than Artificial Intelligence, and doesn’t expose the entire UKs medical history to the modern equivalent of a 1940 Auschwitz medical research group.
That’s a really good point about the sort of image quality they could capture and transmit given the tiny battery… but if they sacrifice the battery life or NC development to add in some AI data gathering it’s a step too far for me.
