Except, AI and AI companies will try to convince you that it is right and legal. So I argue that there is also the fault of AI and AI companies as it in intended to be used that way.

I rent a lot of vehicles for work when traveling, I can't say I thought "I could see myself owning one of these" or even enjoyed driving Cadillacs, Jeeps, Chevy or Fords. The Jeeps were junk, the transmissions were way out of tune with the engine and the suspension felt like I was in a horse carriage. The Fords all had huge gas tanks, turned like boats, and the computer kept glitching. The Chevy had good performance but felt cheap. I couldn't figure out why anyone would think a Cadillac was a luxury vehicle, It was like driving a Kia but everything was loose.

All because they can fire a whole division that's responsible for physical media to improve margins. Then control and limit the users ability to be able to play the content at virtually no cost to them, while also forcing them to purchase a subscription (double dipping) to be online, while also enforcing an always online policy so they can collect data (triple dipping).

It is a strawman but giving an ultimatum is also a nuclear option in a relationship and it's over when the other person said "it's me or....", that is the last argument of a failed relationship. Does the first person have an unhealthy habit that they are unwilling to change, possibly, but if you're trying to change someone to fit your wants and needs then you're not ever going to be in a healthy relationship.
Maybe you or they change or develop a new habit during along relationship, well then everyone has communicate in a healthy manner and then there's possiblity of breaking off the relationship.
But I've seen this scenario more than once where the partner went straight for the ultimatum and the obvious defense to me would be to not engage or deflect because that's a Kobayashi Maru.

Driving costs down doesn't drive prices down. You may see prices stabilize and see more sales, but as you see today the digital and physical prices are the same for the first few months/years. With digital you are at the mercy of Sony, with physical you're at the mercy of the retailer.
The only time Sony offered anything to the user as a charity was free online play and PS+ was $40 a year, but that's because they were losing the console war with poor PS3 sales. There's no incentive for Sony to do anything for the consumer.
