Not quite, Windows detects the monitor being attached and goes "Oh? What software goes with this?" and downloads the package provided by LG.

The monitor doesn't say "Hey, I want you to download this", Windows does that on it's own.

So, a couple of things...

For a real time warning system, there's no need to actually record anything. Monitoring the video feed with no record capability should be fine.

Second, this sounds super easy to defeat with a printed photo card and a couple of Googley Eyes. 👀

The easy way to solve the issue would be to support USB drives, they won't, but they could.

I have a USB 4K drive connected to my PC right now.
