I feel for the first reason! I was able to switch with my wife from Whatsapp to Signal but thats about as much as is possible. And we both have to still use Whatsapp because of others.

To add to that, at least the average meeting I am in, people don't look much at the chat. The meeting organiser might, but that is also not happening too frequently.
