Yeah huge pita to watch anything on YouTube now. Every 3rd recommended video is clearly made with AI, and I'm sorry but not sorry, your video needs to be made fully by humans for me to care. I don't care how interesting the topic sounds, if there's slop in there I'm not watching. I don't care if the video is obviously low budget give it the human touch.

One of the more annoying things is when it's AI stick figures, like bro, just draw them yourself, they're stick figures.

Hell, a few weeks ago I came across a video titled "Why are slugs? Broadly speaking". Its thumbnail proudly has a "No Ai" on there and it was a good and interesting video on snails and slugs.

I don't disagree that there needs to be regulation. I fully agree there needs to be regulation. Companies can and will fuck customers over with little to no concern. See for example the enshitification of pretty much everything.

All I am saying is that there are times when voting with your wallet has successfully bullied companies into complying with the will of the people.

Not voting with your wallet doesn't work? Someone aught to tell Disney that after many people ended their Hulu and Disney+ subscriptions once Kimmel was fired.

Because no human did any work to create that slop. People deserve to be paid for their work and ai slop is just plagiarism to an industrial scale.

A quick googleing says tidal has 110 million songs, spotify 100 million, apple music 100 million, youtube music 100 million... you get the idea there is functionally an unlimited ammount of human generated music. You will never finish any of these services' catalogs. Don't use slop.

Reminds me of that tweet:

"Does microsoft understand concent?

  • yes
  • Ask me again later"

Yeah, people from that city or place moved there and named their new home after their old home. There's a very Dutch area of Michigan with many immigrants from the Netherlands still there. Want to know a couple town names? Holland and Zeeland.

I'm gonna go on a limb here and say that Internet Explorer isn't chromium based.
