This isn't for one school, this is for the entire school district. Kansas City SD has 14,000 students across 33 schools. You also have to take into account paying for installation and shipping of 60 of those lockers.

It hasn't worked for me for a couple weeks now. I only lurk there when I am checking to see if a tech question I have has already been answered by someone, so it's not a huge loss for me. It also stopped working on some subreddits before others. From the same computer at the same time I could see /r/Delta but could not see /r/MLS on old.reddit.

Yeah, I stopped going there regularly a few years ago like most people on Lemmy, but I still occasionally go there for niche topics I can't find anywhere else. I only lurk, not post, so I just used old.reddit.

I tried using it this week after they turned off old, and holy shit!! It is unusable. Like you said, it's impressive how bad it is.

Networking is the only way I got hired at my company. Networking is the best way to move up in the company. Networking is the ONLY way to move past a certain level in the company. Networking is the way I ensure the people I hire onto my team are going to work out, as opposed to relying an hour long interview plus reading a resume.

You: I doubt Hyundai sold 37,000 Ioniq 6s in the US throughout its entire production run.

Me: They sold a bit more than 36,000 in just the US.

You: I don't know what your point is.

You questioned a fact another person said, and now you are confused when someone links you the data to show the fact?

Also, the Ioniq 6 has sold around 96k worldwide. According to your numbers, Cybertruck has sold around 58k + 2026 sales (around 9k). While I can't find stated sales goals for the Ioniq 6, Elon was talking about selling 250k Cybertrucks per year. Elon talked about building a manufacturing throughput of 2500 cars per week (125,000/year) and currently achieving 1300 cars per week (65k/year). Tesla bought roughly 2 percent of all Cybertrucks purchased.

The FJ is one of the more sought-after offroad vehicles. It's extremely capable while also being relatively simple and low-tech. 18 year old FJs still sell for $15k. 12 year old FJs sell for $25k... for a car that sold for $30k new!!

You're comparing total sales, but a flop is about return on investment. How much did Hyundai spend on R&D and new tooling and manufacturing to create the 6, plus how much of that can be reused for other similar vehicles, plus what was the profit margin for the car, plus how many cars were built. Now, compare that to the Cybertruck that has likely very little reusability in manufacturing, all new tooling, tons of R&D, and tons of unsold cars.

They sold roughly 36,000 in just the US. They sold over 96,000 worldwide through the end of 2024.

It doesn't matter how cheap I can get one, because A) it is incredibly ugly and shouts to everyone around you that you have incredibly bad taste, and B) because it is a poorly designed piece of junk that breaks just by being in the car wash. Why would I want something that is both expensive to fix AND breaks easily?

Nah, they are probably just bashing the same three power chords.
