Some of the worst figures in tech are gay as it turns out. Sam Altman met his husband in Peter Thiel's hot tub apparently.

Which means AI is hella gay actually.

I mean if another competitor rises up, he'll just create an account there too. You're stuck with peertube pretty much

What far-left? It's an authoritarian-run capitalist state with better social safety nets than the US, doesn't make it far-left.

if one of their Devs spends a little time on it

Or points an LLM at it. The ones with vision capability can just take a screenshot of the text and inspect that to compare it to the characters in the text.

LLMs may not be intelligent, but there's a load of things they can do now, especially if they have access to tools.

China is in fact competing via something usually considered illegal in international trade: Production subsidies meant to enable their companies to sell products for under manufacturing cost so they can kill off all competition. Yes, all auto manufacturers have had help from their national govenrments, but Mercedes doesn't get paid by Germany to build more cars to sell in China. We do EV subsidies on the purchase side in Europe, so it's manufacturer-agnostic.

We regularly tariff things that other countries subsidize the production of. China does it as well. And China's had tariffs for foreign cars for decades.

Chinese companies like BYD have also been trying to kick off manufacturing in Europe, but unfortunately even in Hungary it's a bit harder to get away with slavery than in China. Hopefully they'll find a way around watchful eyes so we can get cheaper Chinese EVs in Europe too.

Their ratio can be approximated as a constant over some time so who cares

The people on a burning planet probably?

You don't need ANY fossils to be dug up to produce methane, or CO2 for that matter. Of course it helps.

Well that's oversimplifying it quite a bit.

If I eat plants from my own garden, there's no methane used in the fertilizer because I don't use fertilizer. Yet my noxious-ass intestines will produce methane from something that wasn't methane before.

It's the whole reason they wanted to tax cow farts here. Your cows could be eating all natural grass that hasn't been fertilized at all, but they're turning other carbon compounds into methane.

And methane is an order of magnitude worse than CO2 for global warming long term.

For 475$ an hour? Absolutely. I'd be getting paid near 5 grand a day for working 3 hours a day.

See everyone thinks that five nines is what you should be striving for, but Microsoft has realized that nine fives is much more impressive so they're working towards that now.

475$ an hour? Fucking hell, for that money I'll write any report to whitewash you and I won't make it apparent that I'm using AI to talk about shit I have no idea about, AND I'll make sure that if I do use AI to write the whole thing then it won't be traced back to me by my ChatGPT history lmao

Well no, you can produce methane from other hydrocarbons. You eat stuff and fart out methane
