The real thing to consider here is upgradability. Thinkpads are pretty OK to repair but no upgrades. For that I'd consider Framework.
Unfortunately I don't want an x86 laptop. x86 desktops only beat apple silicon laptops when GPU becomes involved, x86 laptops are nowhere near as good as apple silicon laptops.

Kimi's (Moonshot AI) privacy policy states that they will use everything you give them for training. Your code, your prompts, etc. I've read something about being able to email to opt out, but the privacy policy IIRC only mentioned deleting your account (also via email) to achieve it.
Most of the rest of them, both Chinese and American, at least offer you the ability to opt out in the app interface (really should be opt-in but oh well). Whether they respect it or not... Who knows.

Anyone with a brain has known for a long time now that anything you have built in China, you de facto lose the rights to, Chinese companies will copy it and copyright, patents, etc, don't apply to them. In the last few years, it also involves them improving on your design, but that has not always been the case.
They're releasing it open weighs mostly, not open source necessarily.
Not all that different from the freeware model, where you get a binary that you can run, but you don't really have the building blocks to make it yourself.

Employer only pays first week or two here, after that it's the government till you hit 6 months. Companies would go bankrupt left and right if they had to pay 6 weeks lol. My ex takes the maximum sick leave she can while still getting paid, about half a year of sick leave every year. Essentially, she gets a job, works for a week or 2, then breaks a wrist on purpose or gets a migraine. But it's not always the whole six months straight, sometimes it's a month and then she works for another week. That would reset the employer's duty to pay her sick leave and puts the company in an awkward position if it's a smaller one.
Only for mediocre shows tbh. It took 3 years for Severance S2 and it was highly awaited still. Now after S2 I'm even more excited for S3 and don't care if they take 2 or 3 years as long as the quality stays there.
But I don't remember when Netflix had something I was so excited for.
Wait, I do actually. The Witcher. Super excited, didn't care that they took 2 years... But then S2 was nowhere near as great as S1 and S3 just took a nosedive.

Sure, in the show's universe, switching actors made complete sense. They literally can put their consciousness in another body, it's the entire premise, yes. Anthony Mackie isn't a bad actor whatsoever. I liked him in The Banker, Pain & Gain and some other shit he's done. Yet, to me, the show went to shit as soon as he became Kovacs. Just seemed like a huge tonal shift the show didn't need. And it's been a while, but if I remember correctly, the character felt like a completely different person, not same guy in new body.
Used Thinkpad is also a solid alternative if the power of apple silicon is not needed
