Don’t buy consumer products from these companies or support it through purchase. This is a choice you are actively making. Forcing a company to provide you a consumer product sounds, quite honestly, fucking ridiculous.

Sony will never fleece me because they don’t make a damn thing I need.
They didn’t regulate it for music. They didn’t regulate it for movies. You lost that fight when you didn’t fight for the other industries.
(Strong regulations with carve outs for- mobile, indie, online games etc etc… or you kill small developers)

It’s not fucking food. It’s a consumer product. The only way to stop this is to quit fucking buying it.
