Haven't seen that one. Everywhere I've been they tack on $5 a month or so to have their router. Last one I bought was $80 2 years ago, so it's already paid for itself.

Probably a modem problem honestly. I've been on and off comcast a few times and 3 different modems over the years. Only issue I've had were when my old ones got too out dated.

Regardless of the basic privacy invasion that we all know Comcast is doing. Buy your own cable modem and router. Comcast charges you to use theirs, so they pay for themselves in a couple years.

Grab a large enough group of people in any demographic, and some of them will be assholes.

I gotta say I understand the cost. Dig a full size grave by hand some time. It's freakin exhausting. And sure, an excavator can do it in minutes, but that means you're paying for time on a very expensive machine.

Heating is easier than cooling. For heat you just run a set of lines from the source to the homes, same as plumbing. To dump that heat into the ground, the field you need grows very quickly. A small town would need a large, and probably deep field of pipes. The cost would be huge. Geothermal is great, but digging is hard, so it's relatively expensive. Every project needs to be individually considered, to determine if it's really the way to go.

Just realize the hole he dug is probably the bare minimum to handle the heat load from the smallest window AC. It takes a lot of digging to cool a real AC unit. And European homes aren't known for have large yards.

That's just it though, this is damaging to corporations as well.

The US has a serious problem with who is able to sue for what damages when it comes to pollution. Depending on if it's noise, water, or air, the legal codes are not effective at protecting property or people.
