Lidar, rather than a camera. Allows it to create a 3d model of what’s in front of it without being able to take pictures itself

It already exists. There are businesses whose model is that they rent out vram that you can offload tasks to

And for a couple of years now tech companies have been talking shout how cool it would be for computers to be just portals with all the processing power being online somewhere (as a subscription model)

They say “average” volume. What do they mean by that? Or, more precisely, how are they measuring that? RMS? LUFS?

Probably LUFS, but even with LUFS there are ways to make perceived volume louder while remaining within a threshold

This seems like two unrelated stories. It wasn’t his decision to buy the car, nor did he design it. So it seems unlikely that he’s resigning because people don’t like the design or idea of it

Basically anything where the platform prioritises some things over others, rather than just giving you the posts/videos/whatever in order from the people you’ve subscribed to. Recommendation engines would be one example

Excellent. Make platforms with algorithmic feeds count as publishers, too, and you can solve 90% of the world’s problems
