I visited Meta's metaverse on the day it was supposed to shut down. I ended up in a horribly designed car park with no cars, for a restaurant that can sell no food in c/technology@lemmy.world

Anybody who tried VR chat instantly saw what an absolute failure the "metaverse" was. Still my most played VR game by a lot. i will never forget playing beer pong with Link or having deep technical discussions with an Australian salamander chilling on a couch.

Yeah I was thinking so. My friend is at least using the newest Firefox instead of the outdated Safari, so I think that eliminated one major attack vector at least. Thinking about convincing her to install Linux mint tho
