As someone else in the comments here pointed out, if it's a regional/local franchise or a small business then they could reveal their own location by revealing the company's name.

I remember people clowning on old launchers for games back in the day, but I do still really appreciate being able to set resolution, graphics settings, audio, etc before getting hit with a 320p, no antialiased, volume 1000% BWAAAAHHH for potentially a few minutes before I can ever get to an options menu. And even then sometimes the options menu won't let you adjust graphics and resolution unless you're on the title screen, and it usually requires a restart of the game.

Being able to adjust all of that before the game started in the first place or at least letting the game go straight to the title screen without intro cinematics or booting straight into the game on first launch is really nice.

That's more of an issue with their algorithm. The thing I think most people here (myself included) miss is that they used to let you know the rating on videos before you clicked them so you could see whether a given video was decent or not and therefore whether or not you should bother with some clickbait BS or not

I would imagine the doujinshi is allowed as long as it's still fan made. For instance the Wikipedia page has a fan made cosplay of Squirtle. By the same logic as long as the manga's depiction of Squirtle is also fan made (or drawn) then it also seems to get a pass.

It would seem the issue is less how their assets are used and more that their specific assets are used.

There's a particular, subtle phrase hidden very deep in literally the first sentence of the comment you're responding to that I think kinda refutes your entire tangent: "if a dog isn't bothered by it..."

This would assume that as the dog owner you already know your dog is not going to be stressed by fireworks and/or groups of people. If we were talking about a dog which hadn't yet ever seen/heard/experienced fireworks then I'd agree that your described scenario is a possible outcome, but that would contradict literally the first 7 words of the comment you're responding to
