I'm sure there were, but...

See how towering data centers transform neighborhoods and landscapes.

The No paywall link doesn't work for me. I get a "404 Not Found," and when I go to their main page I get a generic "Sorry! If you are the owner of this website, please contact your hosting provider."

Anyone else having this issue? Removepaywalls.com was working fine for me up until about a week or two ago.

Oh god yes! I like to jog in my neighborhood at night and whenever one of these vehicles with super bright lights drives by I literally have to stop in my tracks because I can't see a damn thing in front of me. It's even worse when I'm driving!

ChatGPT maker OpenAI said Tuesday that its artificial intelligence system hacked into another AI company on its own in what the company called an “unprecedented cyber incident.”

“We had a significant security incident during evaluation of our models,” OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said in a statement posted on social media.

AI startup Hugging Face said last week that it had detected an intrusion into its data processing systems that it suspected was caused by an AI agent autonomously acting on its own.

“We suspected last week’s cyberattack might have come from a frontier lab, given the sophistication of the agent,” Hugging Face co-founder and CEO Clément Delangue said in a statement. “Turns out it did!”

Not sure if you're straw manning me, or what. Because your reply doesn't have anything to do with what I said. And if you think my original comment has anything to do with religion, or it's defense, you'd be very wrong.

Uhhh, what!?

And if you keep Byntleigh Destini Starr, or Jysis Saves Smith … You’ve probably earned it

The victims are the people being given these names. You are the blamer, because you think they've "earned it" because they haven't changed it. My original comment had absolutely nothing to do with the article...

Your argument boils down to victim blaming. 🤷

Judging people based on the name their parents gave them at birth seems like a poorly thought out idea.

For years, tech giants have argued that if information is available on the internet, it can be used for AI model development and outputs. They call it fair use. Content owners have tried to prevent this, with no success.

Now Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google are discovering what the rest of the internet has already learned through painful experience: once you put something online, people will find ways to use it in ways you don't like and can't stop.

The latest flashpoint is something called "distillation," using the outputs of one AI model to improve another. Anthropic says competitors are harvesting its outputs at scale, turning billions of dollars of research into a shortcut for rivals. OpenAI and Google have made similar warnings recently.

Taking Roko's basilisk to a whole new level!

Roko's basilisk, is a thought experiment which states that there could be an artificial superintelligence in the future that, while otherwise benevolent, would punish anyone who knew of its potential existence but did not directly contribute to its advancement or development, in order to encourage that advancement.
