Hank has been an advocate for knowledge for far longer than LLMs have existed. His recent use of them is disappointing, but I fell like this does not discredit the work he has done throughout his career to push curiosity.

What he does next will be important and will decide how I interact with his content going forward. It seems like he is aware of his missteps and is looking to make a change.

I am not a perfect human and do not expect celebrities to be perfect at all times.

“Daddy, why can’t we eat dinner this week?”

Listen up sweetie, Daddy had to leave his job because they wanted him to use Claude to generate a spreadsheet. It was the only way to destroy our billionaire overlords from the inside. You’ll thank me when you’re older, now keep packing your things, we have until Friday before the landlord calls the police to forcibly evict us.

Might not have been true, but has definitely been the narrative pedalled to young people for years.

There is always some career that kids get pushed into with a promise of “jobs in demand” and “guaranteed salary”.

I believe in allowing people to live comfortably and safely no matter their cultural or ethnic heritage. I believe in gay marriage and women’s rights.

What middle ground am I supposed to find with people who want to remove anyone who they deem not white enough from their country? What compromise do I make for the people who want to imprison homosexuals and violently convert their gay children? What is there to agree on with the man who believes that women are inferior, should stay at home and have 10 children, and owe him regular sex just because he is a man?

If you tolerate these ideas because you think it will make for a more peaceful world, those fascists are going to take your naivety and run away with it. There is no tolerance for intolerance.

Do you think they are condensing 1000L of water to then just splash it on the ground where it was farmed? That water is going to people (or more likely companies) that are going to leave the ecosystem.
