Dammit, Donnie, why you gotta get so smart on us?

Same. Ditched my account during the API nonsense, but I still lurked occasionally on old.reddit. When they made that require a login, stopped going to reddit entirely. Which leaves this place as the last social media I interact with. I'm expecting some kinda ban on the fediverse in my country, just cause that seems par for this course. Then I dunno, give up on the internet? It's half bots now anyway.

It was the arguing that taught me when not to argue.

Attention is all you need? The modern world demands more attention than anyone has. Our attention was colonized by social media, shadow work (in the economic rather than Jung sense), and the constantly changing software, portals, and platforms that are required to interact with the corpos/gov. So attention was automated (albeit poorly). And while it's not news, it's increasingly apparent to everyone that how we focus our attention is a significant part of who we are.

I have first-hand experience living near a source of infrasound, and oh my god, it's terrible. Here's a good video about the infrasound generated by data centers.

Well, they did pay, just after the fact.

Writing an article about this without mentioning the Fable export control seems odd.
