My point is why the FCC? It is a US government entity and as the current US government is pretty rabid, why should they be able to inflict this sort of thing on the the rest of the world? Maybe this will be a straw too many and force change. The whole Starlink debacle is bad enough but to add huge mirrors is just madness.

It’s a 50k constellation or some proportion that’s the problem. Also it’s who gets to approve such a monstrous plan? Surely not a national government as it is an international issue.
Not really extreme. The whole concept is bonkers. What right has a company to destroy the night huge numbers of people and not mention wildlife.
The land of the free! I would have assumed that being barred from doing something as an agency would be just as barred buying the same information or service from a contractor. Luckily all these rights are defended by the Supreme Court of America.
Thanks, I just thought I was clumsy. Now I can say it’s probably a combination of clumsy and screen/page design!
As usual, the term AI is used for Machine Learning. Nothing to do with the Techbros large scale language model dead end. Sad that a success like this could be misconstrued to be a Techbro success.
Fortunately in my area in Australia we have wireless broadband. There are small towers installed and operated by a local company that provide a good service. The whole lot of towers interconnect using microwave too so can span a large area. In any case, fibre isn’t coming to my place probably ever.
But others still use it…… They should just block it or sue it hard.
Money. It’s always about money and the creeps who worship it.
He’s pretty old and looks unhealthy so I expect he’ll be dead soon.
Better gun laws in general would be a better approach. The odd ghost gun or 2 is probably just noise in the system.
Yep, it say the FCC only looks at communications and not light pollution or congestion. That it is a US government entity and doesn’t mention anything outside the US.
