I'm on a windows 11 pc at work, and that colour picker was the ancient windows 95 colour picker. no dark theme, no fancy glass, just the old school win9x colour picker.

direct from the artists whenever possible, Bandcamp, Patreon, merch and physical media, gigs when possible. lots of smaller artists are on bandcamp because it seems reasonably well run, pays the artists fairly (especially on "bandcamp friday" sale days, where the artist gets 100% of the revenue)
if you have contact details for an artist contact them directly, dont give them your life story or act like a crazy stalker, just say hi, explain you prefer to buy music directly when possible and you dont want to support companies like Spotify. This method is mainly for niche music and new artists that struggle to find audiences in the traditional algorithm based machine but it doesn’t hurt to try.
I'll download music from Soulseek (and I share TBs of it too) when all else fails, or in a try before you buy type of arrangement.
you can root and mod some boox tablets AFAIK, but I dont know how far you can get in de-china-ing them.
as for open hardware, it's slim pickings.
I guess there is a decent market for small readers, but man I’ve gotten so used to reading on my 10" boox tablet that reading on a standard 6" kindle makes my brain hurt, probably couldn’t manage on a 4".
yet another reason why I dont like Teslas, or honestly any vehicles with onboard video recording and cellular connections.
My 2021 car has this. it has no cellular data connection or significant internal storage and the camera just has what I assume is a very basic neural net that looks for signs of distraction. like the eye tracker modules some phones and laptops have. These are low-res greyscale IR cameras usually.
I'm OK with it, and it's helped me out a few times, though I know some cars are more aggressive and beep at you just for looking at your own mirrors.
Some cars however have full time cabin recording that you dont have much control over, and some do have full time data connections that could theoretically send some kind of snapshots on events, but they arent going to do full time video streaming or uploading large video files.
Haven't used Lastpass since the logmein deal rubbed me the wrong way, went to dashlane for many years but they had some security scares just recently. now I self host Vaultwarden, which is a bitwarden compatable server.
for maximum security I could have it local only and connect to it via VPN directly, but I put it behind nginx, with SSL, fail2ban with only my IPs whitelisted and a geofilter on top of that. so even if someone did manage to make it to the login page of the admin panel, they'd need a 30 digit passphrase and an email address username that only exists for that one application, get it wrong once and you are blacklisted.
I know about the old command names, and I know they could fix it but the kernel and core explorer code is such a mess these days nobody dares change things that old. it's one of the reasons I think windows will never really get better, they dont have the balls to clean-slate it and start again, and if they did, it would be even more broken because they cant test everything.
one of my favourite apps is the old dialer.exe which is still there, sadly soundrec.exe was removed in w10, if you dig deep enough you can get a windows 3.1 file select window to show with the classic folder and drive icons intact.
