Yes but I don't see her gaining anything from being lenient. I don't think being vaguely familiar with someone and wishing them well is enough to establish a conflict of interest.

AI is basically evil people raising prices of electricity, consumer electronics, emitting tons of pollution and making everyone dumber but don't worry because if they succeed... everyone will get fired. Everyone knows it's bad but as a society we can't do anything about it because the system was designed to empower sociopaths and make everyone else powerless to stop them.

I mean... it's entertainment. It's not like they are offering some basic utilities. Buy it if you think it's worth it, don't buy it if you don't. Plenty of cheap alternatives on TV or in a library. I really don't remember Netflix of Apple promising to entertain everyone as cheaply as possible. They were always there to make money.
