Sorry to burst your bubble, but the anti-AI crowd has every right to be as rabid as they wish. AI proliferation has been an immense boon to a few who work in some hardware and software fields, while causing an immeasurable amount of collateral damage elsewhere. The cost-to-benefit is extremely disproportionate depending on who you are, where you live, what you do, etc.

Regardless, this is a free market. If people don’t want to buy games with AI in them, it does not make them “rabid”.

If you choose to utilize AI to help you construct your product, expect people to have feelings about it and budget for it. That’s it. It’s a small ask against the millions of other people who have been forced to completely reassess how things are done in their respective fields in order to account for rapid AI disruption and interference.

Still seems like a cop-out.

If they had intended to do it manually in the first place, I don’t see why they couldn’t just use AI to help generate a number of rough outlines to help conceptualize a solid template that satisfied their needs before investing their time into it.

There was enough slop out there in the gaming world before AI stole center stage. And yet there are so many games getting released every day that it’s genuinely difficult for new developers to get noticed. Tried+true studios are hitting diminishing returns. Gamers have a cornucopia of options old and new, and can afford to say no in this market much more easily than in most other markets.

Fucking peoples lives over for leaking what is essentially advertising is an insane timeline to be living in. In a proper world, Take-two would get laughed out of court and Microsoft /Discord would be under investigation for spying on its users.

Ah good. They can take those profits and dump it all into more GaaS failures.

My opinion the tariffs are the US's own fault they shouldn't have voted in a moron.

Actually, the election was rigged in favor of Trump. He stole it. You just don’t hear about it because all he does is cover up shit and gut regulatory bodies while screaming about the left doing it first.

I don’t think I’m throwing the temper tantrum here…

Oh good to know. I guess we’ll just have to stick with the alternative. Do nothing and watch it happen anyway.

How else are they going to pay for server upkeep to store everything it hears?
