I wonder if coal-powered androids dream about them...

Well damn, I've been seeing variations of this concept for decades, but nobody ever claimed it was "developed"

Just as managers and owners agreed to the compromise of unions in order to prevent the workers from dragging them from their homes and setting the factory on fire with them inside, governments should feel the fear of what happens when you treat people like shit and ignore their complaints.

I'd rather see the "bad" things than Ai.

Honestly if the rest of the game is good, I would rather have some napkin sketches, or a computer based paint software.

Complicit with google's shitty business practices, their tacit support of genocide, take your pick. If you're cool giving your money to them, thats on you.

In a better world, all of these technologies that get stolen by various corpo espionage and reverse engineering teams would be freely shared with the world so everyone can benefit from them, and people not in the dev teams might have improvements they can suggest.

But instead we have a bunch of rich adult children who would rather take the ball and go home because they don't think they've recieved enough praise for bringing it, and wanting to charge everyone just to look at it.

It's not a great metaphor, but honestly dealing with companies and governments feels a lot like dealing with children you aren't allowed to discipline or even talk sternly to because their parents have forbidden you from interfering.

"they're sold on the best buy website"

See above comment.

I mean, personally I say if you're allowing people to sell under your name, you are ultimately responsible for what's being sold and should take care of the customer, then go after the people who sold under your name.

So get out of here with your "defending large companies even a tiny bit"

They'll never understand that.

They'll assume the poor sales have to do with the genre, the subject matter, millennials killing the gaming industry, literally ANYTHING but the actual reason their supposed customers keep yelling about.

Comparing to tolkein is just unfair.

That man has the worldbuilding capabilities second only to Eru. Even Aule doesn't hold a silmaril to Tolkein's creativity.

The man legitimately never stopped thinking about middle earth. And I am all the more glad for it, since now I have maps aplenty, intertwining stories, and the guidebook to end all guidebooks for fantasy worldbuilding.

Comparing that to someone who knocked out a book in a few years seems unfair.

One way or another, you won't have to worry about it soon.
