Having a difference of opinion is like "no Margaret, I'm glad you enjoy buttercream frosting but I'm going to stick with this apple pie." That's a difference of opinion.

"Non-whites are subhuman and don't belong in the same country as me" is not a difference of opinion, Internet Explorer.

I'm not following the polls at all. Who is falling out, the liberals?

I'm really curious where things fall short for people. I haven't used Google for years at this point, and I don't miss it.

I still find it bananas how someone can work in tech and be happy with LLMs. I'm a software developer, and when I'm forced to use an LLM I just want to cry. It takes more time to tell it what to do, than if I'd done it myself, and if I miss a part of it, then it'll fill in the blanks and make absolutely wild assumptions.

Disk space usage isn't that bad anyway since there's some deduplication going on.

They're little computers with cameras that capture everything. I think some of these types of devices run Android. Many are very poorly secured, like the article suggests. A "license plate reader" sounds like it only reads license plates, these are surveillance platforms, with cameras and microphones. They can be accessed remotely to do more than just read a license plate.

I'm thinking the person says that couching it as a license plate reader is disingenuous, because it doesn't really convey the gravity of what the devices are capable of.

Maybe they're just anti-Rockstar, which everyone in their right mind should be.
