Oh wow, there was racism in Netherlands a hundred years ago? ๐ฑ
That isn't even relevant in any way to trading with China!. What a moron.
When he says fascist states and exploitative labor, I can't even tell if he means China or USA?
Or maybe he means both?
Buffalox
I'm looking at my pipelines, what is it that I'm supposed to look for?
I have no idea what you mean by any of that? Who is black Pete? Is that a slavery reference? And who are you accusing? And what are you accusing them of.
I don't know what propaganda you are watching? Is it Fox News?
China is fucking 1.4 Billion people, they have invested heavily in infrastructure, education and research for 50 years, while we in Europe and USA have invested only about a third in those areas.
Of course they are catching up. Just like Japan did, Just like South Korea did. AND just like USA did stealing technology from Europe.
China is now among the world leaders in 8 out of 10 key industries. And very obviously, China is working on their own technology to replace ASML even harder now than they did a few years ago, exactly because USA has demanded we sanction the technology to slow them down on AI.
Well guess what. USA will lose the AI race to China so badly, that most probably ALL the big American AI companies will probably go bankrupt. Because they are driven by a gold rush craze, investing way more than the economy can justify. While in China they are pragmatically working towards using cheaper AI solutions to solve actual practical problems.
I want to trade with China because they are a WAY WAY more reliable trading partner than USA is.
Everybody can reverse engineer it, with that mindset nobody could ever sell anything.
I bet we can get those parts from China if we make an agreement with them.
No it's not, ASML is Dutch and built on Dutch traditions for lithography through more than a century.
Just because a few Americans like Intel have stock in ASML doesn't make it American.
Maybe EU should ban ASML from selling to USA?
And make a law specifically to allow ASML to sell to China.
Unfortunately many politicians in Europe are doing as USA ask. But the reality is that USA depend more on EU than the other way around. So we should not let USA decide anything, at a minimum they should consult EU first! Brats.
Half the US soft power comes from EU and allies supporting USA. Without us, USA would never have become the global leader they have been for 7 decades.
We allowed that because USA helped us in WW2, and it worked pretty well for half a century.
But unfortunately USA has torn up all agreements and are walking away from their responsibilities, and work against their allies.
We don't owe USA anything anymore, maybe Americans should wake up and realize that.
Wow that's pretty cool, I thought M68k series ended with 68060!
I still have an old Amiga 500 that my wife bought for me many years ago, because I never shut up about how superior Amiga was back in the day, and how amazing it was to program M68k assembly direct to hardware on it.
The highest power Amiga I ever had was a 68030 expansion card to an Amiga 2000. Then I stupidly switched to PC, because that was the future. But the PC killed my interest in programming, because it's only semi open, not open like the Amiga was.
In their special area they generally do, outside that they are probably like most people with an IQ above 100.
Stop whining, in 1985 I paid $400 for 256 kilobyte RAM for my Amiga 1000, AND I WAS HAPPY!
You kids nowadays are spoiled, with 100,000 times more RAM if you have an average build with 16 GB RAM and 8 GB VRAM.
But the Amiga was still more fun than modern computers.
Is it me? Or is it the kids that are wrong?
Hmmm... ๐ค ...
It must be the kids. ๐
I am very far from being a tankie, I'm a strong supporter of democracy.
You must be very poorly informed to make that post, have you seen any travel descriptions to China lately?
I never claimed it's a Utopia, but the fact is that China has invested way way more in education infrastructure and research than the west for decades.
To claim China does not have innovation is decidedly moronic. China is now registering more patents than USA, and is the new global leader.
