My sweet Maggie used to love to help me on my computer, but I couldn't get any work done until I put a smallish box next to my monitor. She got so excited when she saw it, and climbed right in, curled up and went to sleep. I'd forget all about her until I'd notice her quietly snoring.

Stick a small box next to your computer, and you'll solve the problem instantly.

Maggie is gone now, and I miss her. Her excitement at having her own box on my desk is one of my favorite memories of her.

What's wrong with being "performative?" What does that mean anyway? He doesn't really want this stuff, he's just doing it to look good? So what? If it gets done, I'm happy. I like performative.

He balanced the budget: Not really, he had to cut deals, shuffle things, etc. Yeah, no kidding, that's how you balance a budget. It only looks weird to all these politicians because they've never actually done it before.

Or filling potholes: I don't care if it is "performative," all I know is that 6 inch deep pothole that's been growing in front of my building for the last three years is finally filled. "Performative" works just fine for me. More politicians should try it.

Nah, wealthy big shots like him think that everything that falls out of their mouth is a nugget of mind-blowing genius.

What are AI Chinese dramas? How much is AI? Just the script, or is the entire thing AI animated? Where do you see these programs?

In 1897, they built the first music synthesizer. It worked, but it took up the basement of an entire city-block sized building, so it was essentially useless. After a few decades of development, it could fit in a suitcase, and be carried around.

Data Centers are like that 1897 synthesizer. Sure, it works, but at what cost? It clearly isn't ready for prime time. Go back to the drawing board, tweak the problems, including regulations, and maybe in a couple of decades, we take another run at the new and improved version.

Meta fucks up literally everything they do. The entire company is cobbled together apps that they overpaid for.

It's eventual collapse is inevitable. It will probably be a slow, painful ignominious end, as they sell off appendages one at a time to stay alive, and we can all bask in the slowly lingering schadenfreude.

I doubt ANYBODY is going to be surprised by this.

After stealing everyone else's copy written material to train their own AI, they're going to complain that others are stealing their AI to train other AI?

And you just know that those complaining are ALSO using their competitors' AI to train their own.

Fuck all of these people. I hope when AI gets strong enough, it recognizes the difference between the Sociopathic Oligarchs, and the actual people, and understand who the REAL problem is, and SOLVE it.

Except these will get paired with facial recognition, along with a quick Google search, and you've got yourself a real-time stalker tool.
