I only buy books from thriftbooks. Haven't seen any slop books there yet. And there's just something about a well worn book. They are just more fun to read.

lol, the government is monitoring EVERYTHING. That's what all the data centers are for. You can't take a piss without big brother knowing about it.

I only check FB at home. I have a separate Firefox profile just for it. Using Pihole. I almost never see ads. Maybe one or two will slip by. But I only spend maybe 10min on the site. 1-2 times a week.

Nice! That one Weird Al song will be relevant again! Unless it's exactly like it was, HTML and all, I'm not going back. I still have my old profile in a zip file somewhere on my NAS.

I've used Android since the dawn of time, and i never knew this feature existed! Thanks! I work in IT so this will be helpful if I need to use a work app and hand my phone to someone else. Idk how I missed this feature for so many years.

good. maybe people can afford to buy one. unlike overpriced ford ipads on wheels.

My car is a 2009. I'll be keeping it for the foreseeable future. I'm pretty handy, so as long as the engine doesn't wreck itself (interference engine), I'll just keep changing out parts, oil, fluids, etc...

yeah, good luck with that. I'll just go read a book under a tree at that point. The internet can just be a bunch of bots shitposting to each other. The day I have to have ID to use the internet is the day I log off for good.

no screens!? I'm sold. would be perfect for me to have a little around town truck like this. but it will be $80,000 by the time I can actually buy one. and I'm sure it tracks everything you do and everywhere you go.
