Possibly even compounding, considering that there are more than just a Tech Stocks bubble and Realestate bubble at the moment (though those 2 are the largest) and any one blowing will probably cause the rest to blow.

On the "upside", the Tech Stocks bubble is mainly in the US and countries with semiconductors as a large fraction of their Economy, such as South Korea.

If this one bursting ends the USD status as Reserve Currency, that would be great.

Painful, but in the mid and long term great.

This is going to be a mix of the 2000 Crash and the 2008 Crash.

I hope so, but it's still too early to know for sure if this the main event or just another temporary hickup.

The insane investment in data-center capacity stinks of capital misallocation - actual productive capacity being used to make things that in average have a negative ROI - rather than merelly money gambled in the modern day casino.

The Find Out stage is way worse when actual economic value has been wasted in useless stuff during the Fuck Around part than when it it was just money being used to buy overvalued virtual-value-tokens, since whilst in the latter case the money just changed hands, in the former the economic value was wasted and is gone for good.

It's a great way of doing something that was already done a thousand times and which will never need to be supported or improved on.

The very opposite of the kind of software that's either need in a company large enough to need in-house development or whose business model is software products or services.

I've lived in a couple of countries in Europe, including The Netherlands.

The Netherlands is extremely Neoliberal and has been for decades now - politicians there would NEVER have the government own more stuff, no matter how much good that could do for the population in general.

The entire system is setup to amplify the power of Money and the single biggest form of Discrimination out there as measured by the Hurt and Harm it causes is Wealth Discrimination.

This shit is not an unexpected flaw of this system, it's a desired feature by those who have been shaping it over the years.

Thank you.

Also thanks for mentioning NymVPN - it looks an interesting replacement for Mullvad.

Two points:

  • Danegeld refers to paying the Vikings not to raid your lands, something that has nothing to do with Colonization
  • Groups of have been invading other groups of people's land and taking their shit long before Europe had enough technological dominance for it's nations to do it to other people outside Europe.

Tribalism and all the shit that comes with it (including the whole "steal from and kill the other tribe for the good of your own tribe") is way older than "Europe" as a collection of nations and seems to be and inherent human trait.

That's exactly what concerns me.

I would love to find a No Logs VPN with anonymous payments outside the legal jurisdiction of at least the US, UK and EU.

I mean, even the fucking Nederland which used to be pretty pro-personal rights is now a member of the 14-eyes.
