Right? I just set up a new phone and had Firefox installed but no extensions yet. Had to search something and the website I ended up on was plastered in ads. Is this how some people actually live? I closed the site and installed uBlock Origin and then went back to the same site. Holy shit, night and day difference.

It also gave up the location is a US military base somewhere I believe.

Welp, I guess it's off to BSD I go.

J/k. This seems like a pragmatic approach from Linus.

I believe that was the advice in the early SSD days, and likely still applies for high write commercial environments.

However, modem SSDs are fine when used in a typical home lab set up.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's my understanding.

Shame on Microsoft for being a shit company.

However, I don't recommend backing up to OneDrive, but if you must, you should encrypt on your local machine first. Also, keep a physical backup. Current situation not withstanding, external SSDs are reasonably cheap.

It's called Nearby Glasses on both IOS and Android.

There is an Android app that looks for the Bluetooth signatures of these glasses and alerts if they are nearby. Hopefully something exists on iOS devices as well.

Edit: The app is called Nearby Glasses and it is available on iOS and Android.

Ok, we need to refer to them as something else. I thought we had a much bigger problem on our hands when I first read the title.

Haven't they wasted enough money on this crap? I'm sure blasting data centres into space will help with the exorbitant costs.
