Not all brands sell these features as a subscription.
I chased this up with Ford over my car. They said we get them for free for the life of the vehicle, and as long as the 4g it needs to work exists. That's got atleast 10 to 20 years left in it.
Ford has spent the last few years with quality as one of their main targets to solve, seems that has worked?
Props to them for doing something right.
If I remember correctly, google pays Mozilla a significant percent of their Total income to have google as the default search ) home page?
Google does it so they also satisfy the anti competition rules as well, if Mozilla doesn't get funded then they have monopoly and have to split it off.
That's literally as far as the agreement goes.
