These microdramas are hugely popular. If you sit the MTR or bus in Hong Kong, almost all of the middle aged uncles and aunties are glued to their phones watching this slop.

Shitty but I’m not surprised; the way the production company sees it they’ve cut out the most expensive part - the talent. Now it’s all “Ai.” And it never gets sick or hungry or tired or comes in hungover.

I do not agree with getting rid of the talent at all, but, well, here we are.

Is there any need for talent in "microdrama"? You can make wires with gold, but copper is cheaper and more effective.
