The system is broken by design. Notice-and-notice is much saner than notice-and-takedown, but would have given the big media mills the vapours.

If a company can repeatedly submit the same DMCA notice with no explanation or evidence, taking projects down for months at a time, the system is broken. It prevents users from discovering or updating Luanti, and risks users settling for shady or ad-ridden forks instead.
That's why we have to get off of apps and OSs controlled by and for corporations.
This is like being mad at the scorpion on the frog.

Luanti (formerly known as Minetest, which is now the default game in the engine) is a community-driven, free and open-source voxel game engine, available on various platforms. Originally, Minetest was a voxel game created in October 2010 by Perttu Ahola to explore the mechanics of Minecraft. Over time, Luanti evolved from the original Minetest game into a general game engine as developers integrated new features.
I remember this from back when it was still called Minetest. I'm actually surprised the name change doesn't seem to be because of Microsoft lawyers, but just that they wanted to get away from being considered a "Minecraft Clone".
I'll have to check out what's been happening with it the last few years, it sounds like there's a lot more to it now.
I guess the only reasonable solution is to DMCA everything!
