Fun fact python is not named after the snake. The original creator was actually just a fan of Monty Python. The language was named after the comedy group

I can’t believe I’ve read through the better part of their documentation and never made that connection. It might even be called out in the documentation and it just didn’t register at the time.

For those who don’t know, many, many of their examples use Monty Python references for sample context.
