This picture is now the new meme

Actually, funny story. I have big eyes similar to hers. When I smile normally, they squint so I look like I'm closing my eyes or sleeping (and my eyelids are very trigger-happy with flash so it's a double whammy). I then get the feedback to "open my eyes" and I end up looking insane like that photo. So it's a lose-lose situation.

In general I photograph poorly tbh, I look better in mirrors and in motion ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ

You are overthinking ๐Ÿ˜‚

All my siblings and I do the same. There is an image from the wedding of one of my sister's. And the only person without crazy goggle-eyes is a sister in law in the back of the photo.

Same. Rather than "opening your eyes" raise your eyebrows. This will "open your eyes" a bit without summoning the full crazy eyes.

As someone who has literally decades worth of pictures that look like they were taken "moments before the incident", I am glad I can help.

I also must admit that the thought that literally dozens of people around the world are flexing their foreheads because of me is very amusing.

She must be, what, like 5 years older now?

I was more so just reflecting on how much time has passed since 2012 when AdviceAnimals memes like this were still relevant and popular. Unfortunately, much more time than "5 years" has passed since those days, we are all old now and the time is gone :(

I ated all of the time, sorryyyy ๐Ÿซช

Nothing new that the internet at large would latch on to.

https://auspublishers.com.au/laina-morris/

That's a lot of words for "She created a meme by doing a Justin Bieber parody, then did YouTube from 2010-2019, then disappeared from the internet".

Holy shit. Have your ad block up in full force before clicking that link and getting forwarding and McAfee cancer.

[โ€“] TehWorld@lemmy.world 3 points 1 hour ago

I wasnโ€™t gonna bother with the link, but I wanted to see how good my blocking was. Pihole has about a half million blocked sites and not a single ad or anything.

[โ€“] db2@lemmy.world 11 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Sorry, I have at least two layers of ad blocking, I forgot to check that.

It's not your job protecting the non-blockers. It's their own shame.

Good for her, knows what she wants and knows when to step away. I hope she's doing ok now. Thank you for sharing the story.

[โ€“] wesker@lemmy.sdf.org 104 points 12 hours ago (3 children)

I've always found her exceptionally attractive.

[โ€“] rainwall@piefed.social 7 points 6 hours ago

Pure mirin' energy.

Has she never held any knife before?

[โ€“] OpenStars@discuss.online 3 points 6 hours ago

That's... part of the charm? ๐Ÿคท

she can fix me

[โ€“] ScoffingLizard@lemmy.dbzer0.com 17 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Didn't her and Scumbag Steve meet once? Or was that the girl from the Stacy meme?

[โ€“] rants_unnecessarily@piefed.social 1 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

According to my abysmal memory, that was Stacy.

[โ€“] fisch@lemmy.world -5 points 7 hours ago

Is that overly attached girlfriend? Shouldn't she be like, I don't know, 70 by now?
