They have had a contactless method but it uses QR codes and stored cards to circumvent NFC.
You mean returning. They had it before they started forcing you to use Walmart Pay.
I know because I had a cart full of groceries and no wallet when they disabled it.
The few times I go I always forget wondered why they never had this. I feel like it has been pretty much everywhere now for over a decade.
I remember when Apple cultists were fuming because Walmart started selling iPhones.
