I imagine this would be gender neutral phenomenon. Any person who gets famous, suddenly is able to date up and could therefore be tempted by it.

Because I'm bored and never read celebrity crap, I decided to look this up. No evidence of this anywhere, and it seems they were both struggling with their marriage for a while from pieced together interviews.

it seems like they were together for 9 years, after both being in previous relationships, they met while they were both famous, had a kid, divorced 5 years after the kid was born. Now they've both remarried/engaged to someone else.

Seems like fairly normal stuff to me.
