Yeah. Library workers have been trying to stop this for years but many institutions are still locked in and I'm still mad about it.
I used to work for a giant bank in the fraud department and had full access to lexis Nexis. It was horrifying 15 years ago. It's gotta be so much worse now.
Health insurance here. They were the biggest kid on the block as far as information gathering.

Shut them down for good. They collect a shit ton of data and sell it to anyone. Your car's telemetry data get collected and they sell it to insurance companies.
It's probably Palantir doing their thing now that LN has sold it's wares to ICE

I worked for a financial institution that used their services to try and locate account holders with undeliverable mail.
I used to work for a Sheriff's Office that used this system. It was a mass center of consumer and civilian data.
