Stumbled upon it…. Walked through the arch and went, hrmm seems familiar.

Nz is worth the trip if you can, it’s like another world.

I already live in NZ 😆

We had to travel to Iceland to find something that was sufficiently more impressive than what we have at home.

Funnily, a lot of people thought that the pictured Wharariki Beach was actually the (somewhat) similar looking Cathedral Cove, half the country away.

I haven't actually seen the former in person, but it's quite a trek from civilisation. Someday.

Also stunning! I miss NZ!

We had the same thought when we went to Norway - they do New Zealand like it should look. But them I'm from the Waikato and the best we can do is a few shit brown rivers

Don't harsh waikato, there's plenty of incredible stuff there. The waterfalls, volcanic areas, glow-worm caves, and Hamilton.

[–] Slovene85@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago

That's unpossible, New Zeland doesn't exist.

I just got a new work computer and finally made the jump to Linux. It's been two weeks now and I just love it! So I guess what I'm trying to say is...

Laughs in Linux

Not at 01:28 i hope ☠️

[–] bus_factor@lemmy.world 23 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

It's probably an American computer at 13:28. Everyone knows only Linux users are up at 01:28.

[–] Agrivar@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

When you party on the beach being up at 1:28 is super easy, barely an inconvenience.

The lack of a leading 0 gives it away (with month–date formatting lending circumstantial evidence).

Cheap ass company hasn’t upgraded to Windows 11.

[–] Peppycito@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago

I thought it was Cheap Cheap Beach.

bold to assume company policy doesn't require the desktop background to be a picture of a concrete wall. Gotta make it feel like you're about to be executed by firing squad if you don't generate enough shareholder value.

And even there, they don't get no sunshine. the beach and the sunny islands in the background are reserved for the Epstein class. The salaried workers can stay in the cave.

I'm using Manjaro Linux, I'm going to the mountains instead.

EndeavourOS here, default wallpaper is SPACE

[–] funkajunk@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

I've long since moved away from Manjaro, but damn it if I don't still have a mountain wallpaper.

[–] M137@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

You seem to think no one lives near beaches, that they're only vacation destinations.

As with a significant amount of seemingly innocuous expressions (in this case, a meme), you can often read the perspective and opinion of the poster. Hell, take my 3 posts. I take pride in giving, as well as defying laws; I am either a fan of immature toilet humour, or familiar with anal play and douching; and I am unemployed and my views on working are so dismal I'll have to lose significantly more self-pride before ever attempting to be employed in 99% of jobs. Psychoanalysis goes deeper; the way I described my posts just now can tell yet more about me
