Not all moths do that though, but you point is still valid. I think moths are beautiful too. I'll carefully catch and release outside any animal I find in my home, but moths compared to butterflies aren't just for their own survival. They also frantically get up in your face more than butterflies do, and that's just not a nice experience independent of how you feel about the animal.
