Consumer tech is getting more expensive for the first time in my entire (shockingly long) life. I get a real sinking feeling in my gut, feels like a sign of a tipping point. On the other hand, I kind of miss the days when getting more and more out of the same hardware was the magical part. It always felt like when we lost that, we lost a huge part of our potential.
