can't open or view anything from the search engine without an account?

Is this currently being rolled out? I just tried with a generic search and "reddit" and it let me pull up a few threads.

Yeah, a number of people have been saying they can still get on but Reddit is definitely doing this. It appears to be getting rolled out in some kind of A/B distribution.

Gotcha. I sort of figured so, but didn't know exactly how old the news was.

My phone can only open a reddit thread for less than a minute before it locks up and asks for an account.

That's what the other guy said. Don't have the patience to sit looking at a reddit thread for that long. XD
