jeez just suck his dick already
Perth is the only city in the world with a grass airstrip in its CBD.
Langley Park, a stretch of reclaimed land along the Swan River right in the middle of Perth's CBD, has been used as an airstrip since the 1920s. Pioneer aviator Major Norman Brearley used to fly planes in and out of there, and it served as Western Australia's first commercial airfield.
These days it's not a daily operating airport — but it remains a functional grass airstrip used for fly-ins, vintage aircraft displays, and emergency landings. The Red Bull Air Race even used it as its base of operations from 2006–2008 when the race was held over Perth Water.
According to Aviation Western Australia, it's the only place in the world where aircraft fly from a grass airstrip in the heart of a city. It's also heritage-listed, celebrating its 100th anniversary relatively recently.
