I don't like throwing shade online, but at this point, either this is deliberate or you really can't grasp the nuance of my position.

But you shouldn't recommend that other people do the same things as you if you're engaging in unsafe behavior.
The top level comment that spawned this was recommending that people use Group Policy and modify their registry values to fully disable automatic updates:

What nuance? You've been outside the ecosystem for so long you think black hats are writing code to get to offline domestic machines and not just starting up a call center or hiring on with their local government.
