if I was on this guy's jury I would flat out refuse to convict him on any charge for this.
Shouldn't be legal to setup systems outdoors for mass surveillance. Cameras outside to inhibit vandalism is one thing, but this is warantless wiretapping equivalent.
Careful where you say this, otherwise they'll make sure you're never in a position to even consider doing that.
Definitely you'd never say this during a jury selection process.
