Interesting. I'll take a closer look and read the article you linked to. I haven't used Kagi much, but I did try the trial and their search results are definitely better than Google.

I used Kagi a bit before reading that article, and it was definitely better than Google (tho, at this point, it's a low bar).

I have found Qwant to be equally good. But beware, it also has AI stuff. I really wish there was a real no-nonsense search engine without any AI in it, that just worked.
